You can use Pira.cz Silence Detector to monitor a stream and have it email you and your provider’s email-to-SMS gateway address (e.g.
firstname.lastname@example.org) to receive a text when it goes silent.
You would feed the soundcard output into Silence Detector and it will monitor for silence. Depending on the sound card in the machine you run it on, you may
have to install another piece of software (like VB-Cable from
www.vb-audio.com) to feed the output into Silence Detector.
You can also create multiple installations of the software, or more simply create multiple copies of the executable in the program folder to run more than one
instance if need be.
