Well, at the risk of sounding vintage-centric, it's really hard to beat an old Teletronix/UREI LA-2A for simple airchain leveling purposes.  Plugin emulation is available for production purposes, as is Universal Audio's hardware recreation.  They're not cheap, but they sound as good as you will get.  I had one years ago, but didn't realize just how good it was until after I sold it.

To the experts..  I have a case of levels being inconsistent a lot.  Not  being able to control the production
what have yall found is the best economical solution for processing / AGC  ?
