I did email support and they confirmed they no longer service the legacy units. However, the service department was quite helpful in suggesting it sounded like the DAA card needed to be replaced. The tech who emailed also gave me the price and the number to call for sales.

I called and ordered one yesterday for $165. The sales person I spoke to said they had plenty of stock on these cards for the 2500/3000. I will update when the card arrives and I get it swapped out.

We Just lost one at our Windom site a couple of months ago.  THERE ARE NO REPLACEMENT CARDS. No plans to rebuild them.  You will have to repair the surface mount interface to continue to use them.  Burk is backing away from the support side of the 2500 completely. 

We are in the process of site by site replacement of our remote systems.  They are not getting cheaper.

I also endorse this approach.
The Optelator is a pretty solid device, and since voice interface modules are expensive I thought they were a pretty good investment when I had the opportunity to implement them.

These things insert fiber optic isolation into a conventional phone circuit. Last I heard, they're running about $300 but when you consider what they do, you can't afford not to have it for a line you need running 24/7. Lightning can still ruin a phone line, but the surges won't reach your equipment.

When we were using a large network of these GSC 3000s, we replaced so many of these phone cards, as we called them, that we just started referring to these phone cards / PCBs as Gentner's factory lightning protection. And yes we also did have additional external lightning protection but those cards just seemed to still be highly susceptible to damage. It's an easy fix IF you can find a spare card...

I've got a GSC-3000 with a voice interface that has stopped making or receiving calls. We normally use the Lynx software for readings and control, but need the voice interface for callout after hours. I can still see it there in the Lynx software...it just doesn't make or receive calls. The phone line itself works both inbound and outbound.
I've removed the lightning protection from the line with no change. The connected phone rings on inbound calls and can pick up or make outgoing calls. I have also power cycled the unit with no change.

Any ideas on common problems, or suggestions on somewhere to repair? I have an email in to Burk about repair, but my recollection is that they don't support stuff that isn't current.
