Those are nice bells and whistles, but I have been suggesting for years now that they add a status code (like 300 for alarm status) for all of the channels where it just reads down the list.of all of the statuses being monitored. When you have multiple sites or clients that you were not the Burk installer on and thus may not remember which channel does what at that site it would be most helpful in the middle of the night when you need to know more than just what is in the alarm mode.

I've been e-mailing with Burk about some features that I believe would be VERY useful and helpful on their Plus Touch units... and was just told that NOBODY ELSE has asked for them! (I find that shocking!)

Here are the feature requests I'm asking them to implement, and was hoping that some of my colleagues here would be in agreement, and consider e-mailing "support" at burk.com to ask them about them. :)

1) A "click and hold" feature, where the remote relay will STAY CLOSED for the duration of the mouse button (or the touch screen) being held on the on-screen "button".

As it stands, the unit only offers two options: LATCHING, where a relay STAYS set to whichever mode was clicked, and "MOMENTARY" with a FIXED time that you program for that relay. (Default is 0.5 seconds)

You can click and hold the button as long as you want, but the relay will only activate for that preset duration. This should be changed.

2) A CHANNEL SELECTABLE "Are you sure?" confirmation dialog.

The way it is now, the "Are you sure?" option is ALL OR NOTHING. I find that absurd! There are only a FEW command buttons that I want to add the "Are you sure?" dialogs, NOT ALL OF THEM. :)

Do *YOU* find these ideas useful?

Thoughts? :)
