We are pushing backup audio via a cell connection using Comrex BricLinks. Fortunately the remote BricLink has a contact closure input that will enable/disable the stream connection. This contact closure is connected to our backup audio silence sensor so the BricLink sits idle until the silence sensor automatically switches over to the backup. Saves using a lot of cell data.
Also be aware that IF you push backup audio to a stream decoder IP via the cell connection, it uses your data whether you are using the stream or not...

We need internet service at a new tower and it's too far out in the boonies for normal service. There is an AT&T Cell site on the same tower so we're thinking we might be able to use an AT&T Cellular Router. We (of course) need something with ethernet connections so we can hookup a PC, RDS, and Xmtr controls.
I'm wondering if any of you have any experience in doing this and if so, what equipment you used.
