We use a little interface service (program): amb-ux running on the server that pulls if off the AMR100. Forgot to mention that.

FWIW... We all have different experiences and you all may know better than me.... I have found that windows boxes need to be restarted nearly weekly depending on what they have been running, especially if using browsers. You can also look at the Task Manager to see what apps and processes are running and if the cpu or disk are running at 100% or close to it and what processes or apps are hogging the resource. With win10 this is easier to see but it also seems to need more attention when running on older machines. I don't use the AMBOS GUI because we have the AMR100 send directly to our Linux automation server and then run a script to automatically import the audio into the correct groups/carts with adjusted dates. It's been working flawlessly for a couple of years. The only downside of this is reviewing the audio for issues... which we typically haven't done and fortunately haven't needed to, thanks to the good people at AMBOS.

I also have not seen the software freeze. My only problems with non-responsive software have been user-induced. (I now have a scheduled task to restart the software automatically should I shut it down and forget to restart!)

Probably a silly question--I'm sure you investigated this, but was it just the AMB-OS UI that froze, or the entire computer? Could you operate the computer and Windows other than the UI? Might be hard to tell, but I'm wondering if it's the UI that's locking up or the computer itself. I've had entire computers lock up due to hardware issues.

No, It didn’t respond to any keystrokes or mouse clicks.  We have had issues with our internet, but never to the point where the UI would just freeze.

Aaron,

When the software froze, could you access anything on the menus of the UI or activate the refresh button? Or was the UI totally locked up?

To the best of my knowledge, the only times we've had issues with not getting programs, which is very rare, were related to network or internet connectivity issues. The AMR-100 UI is normally very reliable.

(Sorry I don't have a recommendation for the sniffer software you asked about.)

hmmm. what rev is your UI? latest is 1.31.45. lots of improvements. that would be a good place to start, especially if you're still at 030, the last 'mandatory' update. we've been wanting to send out another mandatory update for many months now, but the 'feature creep' keeps it from settling down enough to do that. so we hope folks having trouble (or not having trouble) will check the UI updates (Help menu) and keep themselves up to date.

For the second time this month our AMR-100 UI froze at some point overnight.  Therefore all morning programs were from the day before until the software was restarted.  Looking for a “sniffer” program that could email or text me if the software freezes.
