We’ve got 4 of those here. I had nothing to do with them, but one is marked as battery doesn’t charge. They’re pretty craptacular if you ask me, but no one complains about it and they are easy to setup by non technically minded folks.

All,

I found this one on Amazon, which one of our other stations already uses:

Not winning any awards for audio fidelity, but it does the job nicely, and has all the features I wanted, for not a lot of money.  Will respond once it arrives and I get a chance to play with it, and let you know what my opinion is.

Thanks for the responses, everyone!
Brian

I don't know what is currently on the market but I went to a funeral about 20 years ago where the mortuary had one on a

stand out in the cemetery. It had a microphone input and  played music from some source but I don't remember what it was.

I would be surprised if someone hadn't improved on the concept in the years since.

Is there any product out there that takes the form of a portable PA speaker like 8, 12, or 15-inch, that has an internal amplifier, powered by a rechargeable, replaceable battery pack, has a built-in FM tuner, while also allowing Mic inputs to be able to use as a small PA system?

I've looked around Amazon for a while, and the quantity of what look like absolute junk is astounding... And nothing seems to have a built in FM tuner... everything is Bluetooth now... Darn Young'uns... ;)

Just trying to check to see if anyone is using something similar to what I tried to describe above?  Our promotions dept. is looking for something that's easy to grab-n-go, not worry about finding a power source, and is able to play the station and talk locally for local events with the "station vehicle".

Thanks,

Brian
