Actually that may become Plan A...  Does anyone have a schematic of that receiver? 

+5, +12, -12v supplies are dime a dozen as are external LNB power injectors.  Most modern LNB's are happy with anywhere between 12-24vdc if the cable run isn't excessive.

Is there no known off the shelf replacement for the original APS supply?  I believe that he told me it is 5 / 12 / 24vdc outputs.  A lot of those switching supplies are pretty similar but the 24vdc for the LNB is a bit weird in todays voltage lineup...
