Would this rubber used as a Q-band feed horn cover block the signal?   We have been taping on zip-lock bag type plastic which holds up only a few months.   Original covers have deteriorated, torn, and come off and blown away after 3 or 4 years.   But the satellite dish-makers are no longer in business, no parts available.  We are using several dish models with several sizes of feed horn openings.

Covers are absolutely necessary on our offset dishes where the feed horn aims upward collecting rain, snow, ice.   Offset dishes were chosen so snow would slide off more easily, but the feed horns are mounted low and aim upwards toward the dish.
