You mention an affinity for the Barix (which we are currently using as an emergency fed to our sister station in the Virgin Islands). They now have something new called the Redundix https://www.bswusa.com/Interfaces-and-Routers-Barix-REDUNDIX-P13282.aspx which is supposed to "time delay two streams and fill in the blanks".


I don't know from experience how it works, but if we have to look at IP feed as a longer term solution in St Croix, we may go this route. If we do, I'll let you know how it turns out!

3.       Barix makes a couple boxes that can do the duplex job but they don’t monitor quality of the internet connection and adjust accordingly. However, since BARIX has served us so very well in the past for minimal cost, I feel compelled to consider this option.
