Dave,

The FCC has been told that there are only 1500 licensed down-links. And that is correct. And many companies with a lot of money would like that 3.7 GHz to 4.3 GHz spectrum for 5G, and the FCC is ready to give it to them.

We licensed our down-link some 5-10 years ago. Within the Grand Rapids area, only 5 dishes are licensed. None of the big three commercial entities downtown Grand Rapids have their down-links licensed.

BTW, if you do register your site, register the entire satellite look arc.

This is worth every penny. I had a some kind of WISP company who wanted a link very close to us, but was locked out due to our being licensed. He wanted a waiver, which I declined.

Karen and Mark Johnson, CRTECH could use input on this. A note. The Johnson companies do offer down-link licensing. So yes, they might make enough to buy Karen new shoes (or maybe Mark?). But they are good friends of CRTech, and they have answers.

If anyone knows of any other company that licenses down-links, please let us know.

considering the huge investment in c-band geo-stationary satellites out there, i can't imagine that FCC could take away those freqs. but then govt has done stupider things.
