Backups that are not tested are not backups!
I found out the hard way when our automation file server lost its raid controller. There was a backup file server, but many of the critical files were never
copied over with the supplied backup program. I ended up pulling the hard drives from the failed server and putting then into the backup server.
Always test that your backups actually work.

Related to this question, many have said they are using a NAS, so were we. But the SyncBack SE program that was supposed to be running every day WASN'T. It looked like it was running but
didn't make a copy.
So... What backup software do you recommend?
Thanks, this group is SO helpful! You are truly a blessing...

We got hit by Ransomware this weekend. We had a backup but it wasn't recent enough. We got most of our files back from the backup drive but we'd like to look into an online backup. We need
at least 2 TB of backup. I know this has been discussed before but I don't recall the details. What do you recommend?
