What I have recently used is EasUS Partition Master. This was a situation where Samsung Data Migration wouldn't work. The original HDD haad been pulled; Samsung software requires to run on the master.
I was able to resize the partitions and do a copy; it worked perfectly.

I've never done it myself, but GParted should let you resize the partitions after you copy: https://www.howtoforge.com/partitioning_with_gparted

Hi all,

I know you don't have anything to do today, so I thought I would throw something out there to stir a discussion.  FWIW: I have converted all my computers here over to Linux Mint Cinnamon and am currently running 18.3 which is the most recent distro (at least it was a couple of days ago). I have run Linux Mint Cinnamon for over a year and and dearly love it. Don't miss windows one bit! Love the improved performance (faster operation, etc.).  This has been especially good since my computer are all older machines. They perform circles around the former Windows OS (Which is still there on dual boot as I have a lot of important software still on the machines I frequently use).

One of my notebook computers (A fully loaded 64 bit Dell Vostro that is about 5 years old), has just about run out of drive space.  I need to clone the drive onto a larger one.

Here is the question (finally, I know....).  I have two windows partitions (OS and Data Storage) and the Linux partition, plus a couple of smaller ones used by the computer (not sure exactly what they are). I need to clone everything as-is but onto larger partitions.  I have a new drive that is twice as large as the old one so it should do nicely.

So far, I have a few options (HD Clone Pro, Gparted, etc., but I am not sure anything I have will properly copy AND allow me to resize the partitions.  Has anyone had any experience with such a project? If so would you please share your experience.

Blessings!
