Thread-topic: [CRTech] Occasional "burps" on U4K?

Under the topic of the mundane:

I assumed you’ve checked the EB/No on the U4k

Is the RF level ok?

Under the Carrier menu, there’s a page that lets you know if the RF level is “Good”.  Your symptom could result if the level were too high or low.

We are using the U4k for SNN.  I’ll try paying closer attention to detect any issues here.

To the Braintrust:

I'm noticing somewhat frequent "blurps" (like lost packets; brief audio dropouts, with brief blip noises) in our SRN News feeds. There will be anywhere from 0 to 4 "blurps" in any given newscast. We typically air 3 or 4 minutes of SRN News.

I checked the 1 minute logs of both our AMBOS AMR-100 receivers, and they show zero bad blocks throughout the "blurped" newscast. (We take the news "live" from the U4K)

I'm starting to wonder if this is a symptom of our "elderly" U4K starting to break down, or if there are others noticing this same issue.

If our U4K is failing, then I should plan to transition to one of the AMR-100's for the SRN News. (SNN)
