Thread-topic: Flash Technology FTC 163H Halogen lighting system

One of my clients has the same wretched system with the same issue.

Your only recourse is replace the system. Trust me. I'm still twisting this client's arm to stop spending money on the old stuff. Meanwhile, it's eternal NOTAM's, which someone's gonna get tired of.

My station has a 435' tower utilizing the Flash Technology FTC 163H Halogen lighting system. I used to get about 18 months from the lamps, but now down to about 2 months. I have replaced lamps and transformers in the lamp housing with no change in lamp life.

Flash engineers think it's the processor going bad. Unfortunately for me, the system is 10 years old and out of production and unsupported.

Has anyone experienced this issue? Might anyone have a FTC 163H system they've taken out of service I can buy?

(asking for a friend, please reply to all – thanks!)

Thanks!
