I’d like to put in a vote for being able to change title and artist info (or, as on AudioVault, ‘description’ and ‘client ID/artist’ fields) through the Ambos UX. It would be very convenient to do it there as opposed to setting up another
piece of software.
As for what to name things, we take Adventures in Odyssey, for example. I put “Adventures in Odyssey” in the title field and “Focus on the Family” in the artist field. This info is then displayed on our website and app as “Adventures
in Odyssey by Focus on the Family.”
We take a number of daily and weekly programs that need just a bit of adjustment to show up properly, so if this process could be automated by the UX, I’d be happy to have it.
an interesting idea. we (ambos) chose to put the ministry in the artist field as we were thinking more of the stations than the listeners, RDS being virtually unheard of at the time. we can consider a change
in viewpoint, tho it would be a lot of change for a lot of ministries. your best bet will be software like MagicRDS that puts in just what you want. we could also consider having the UI change the cartchunk data as it transfers files, tho the preference would
be to have the other software do it. there are other fields in the cartchunk that could be used for the 'real artist' info, so a stn would just have to check a box like 'use the friendly artist info' and the UI would copy the alternate field into the artist
field, replacing the ministry. that way the stn would not have to build their own database for what to put in the artist field. just thinking out loud here (and hopefully not out of turn as there are others involved :-).
what do you do for the artist for Adventures in Odyssey? Whit Whittaker? hmmm.

You have my support for such a request. Would make our 'now playing' info on our web sites and on the RDS more current and user friendly.
We have new apps coming out in a week or so and I've been hustling to get and xml file with song info for current play and history. It works well for music.
However, KAVX is programming and it works well for the most part.
But my way of thinking is you take a program like Insight For Living and instead of a cartchunk that says IFL daily / Insight for Living it should say Chuck Swindoll / Insight
for Living... or KeyLife / Steve Brown all using the same fields as song title and artist.
I wonder if we could all sweet talk the programmers that supply the good folks at Ambos to do this for us.
