One of our stations had a non-viewable authorization in the OPIF. It would always open a blank page. The license had been granted a couple months ago. So, I looked up the station in the FCC FM Query Broadcast Station Search to download the current authorization. The new authorization downloaded just fine, and then was going to upload it to the OPIF. To my surprise the blank authorization in the OPIF became viewable, no upload needed. Seems the act of viewing the authorization in the station search caused it to become viewable in the OPIF. Tried clearing the browser cache data and the authorization is still viewable. Strange.
Our station logo uploaded to the OPIF also appears on the FCC FM Query Broadcast Station Search results, so these interact.

Another question...has anyone else had something auto-populated by the FCC that just doesn't work? One of our station licenses is there, but can't be seen. When I click on it, it opens a blank page. If I download it, Adobe Reader says it can't open the file and that it may be damaged.
We just submitted a minor change that was approved on this particular station, so maybe they'll replace it and the new one will work. Short of that...would the best idea be to upload my own copy of the license in the "additional documents" section of the Basic Information? Is there a way to report a non-viewable document to the FCC?
Thanks to everyone for the ongoing discussion of the public file transition. This is very helpful!

Retention Until final action taken on the station's next license renewal application
So, my last renewal was granted (is that the “Final Action”) july 1 2012, I can turn off the automatically inserted ones with dates prior to that, correct?
