We installed the Ubiquity M5 Nanobridges on 5.8 GHz between the studio and transmitter site - about 4 miles line of sight - for about $180 total cost including exterior shielded cable and they have worked perfectly for 3.5 years. We use them to extend our internet to the site because we could not get affordable and reliable internet out there. I am not sending audio over it but all of my monitoring and control runs on it. At this moment it is running 75% link quality and 55% capacity across town. So far I have not noticed any issues with interference.

I have used the AirGrid 5.8GHz radios in a couple of different places. Assuming you have good line of sight, and your band isn't saturated, you can get a really usable link for a few hundred dollars.

Hey Guys:

Are you using Ubiquiti ethernet radios at your station?

I would love to know the application and the model numbers of the equipment you are using as well as your satisfaction with using them.  I would also like to know an approximate cost.

I have a future project in mind.  Thinking about streaming audio from a studio to a nearby transmitter site.
