Three of our stations have the license online with an expired date, but the “License Renewal Authorization” fails download from the OPIF.   To correct I scanned and uploaded the current “License Renewal Authorizations” to the “additional documents” section.

Along those same lines, in the "applications" section, the stated retention requirement is until final action is taken on the application. Since the FCC populated this with many prior applications, my reading would be that anything that is not a current application (i.e. the license has been granted) can be turned off in the public file. So if all of our stations are licensed and there are no pending applications, nothing needs to be in this section. Am I correct in my thinking here?

Another question...has anyone else had something auto-populated by the FCC that just doesn't work? One of our station licenses is there, but can't be seen. When I click on it, it opens a blank page. If I download it, Adobe Reader says it can't open the file and that it may be damaged.

We just submitted a minor change that was approved on this particular station, so maybe they'll replace it and the new one will work. Short of that...would the best idea be to upload my own copy of the license in the "additional documents" section of the Basic Information? Is there a way to report a non-viewable document to the FCC?

Thanks to everyone for the ongoing discussion of the public file transition. This is very helpful!

EEO section states

Retention Until final action taken on the station's next license renewal application

So, my last renewal was granted (is that the “Final Action”) july 1 2012, I can turn off the automatically inserted ones with dates prior to that, correct?
