Resisting urge to go into full-on "old timer storytelling mode"... ;)

OF COURSE I typed in that word processor... and I used it FOR YEARS! :) In fact, I created my resume' on it! The last time I used that resume' was when I applied for my job at WFIF, in 1987! :) I had no need for it for the next 20 years!

(Long story short) In 2007, I built an interface cable to link my Commodore disk drive to an old PC, and transferred the file. Then opened it in MS Word, edited, and printed it for my next job at West Mountain Radio in late 2007. I didn't want to re-create it from scratch, I wanted to UPDATE it... so I did! ;)

As for machine language, I used to hand-assemble on graph paper for my Commodore tinkering. :) I even was doing that with 8080 code in an electronics pace back in 1986. Created a few useful programs on EPROMS that were used to diagnose the equipment that company was making. :)

As for still having a C= machine...

Willie did you type in a bunch of machine code from Compute's Gazette for the word processor that they published (among other things)  I too am a VIC20 refugee.  I still have a C=64. =)
