Thread-topic: [CRTech] Interesting issue

When you unplug “most” of the snake does it go away? I assume you need one line to feed the monitor.

When the station comes through, is it with inputs on the console turned up?

How good is the grounding of the console and/or the speaker? Look out for ground loops. The ground in the power plugs may not be good.

How can we tell?

We think its "into the input channels and going to the console"

We don't think there's any source/instrument picking it up because there's nothing plugged in.

So if we unplug everything from the sound board and are left with only the snake running to a powered monitor on stage the radio station comes in as clear as a bell. So for clarity... We pick it up clearest when we disconnect the sound board from our entire system and just then the monitor on. Our best guess is that the snake is acting as the antenna.

We're picking up 1260 AM (KHz) in our sanctuary, I'm pretty sure through the snake. Any ideas of how to make it stop?
