As of a few months(?) ago, now, most (if not all?) of the short programs we receive from the AMBOS system, have a low-level, high frequency distortion. When examined in the spectral view of Audition, the frequencies extend all the way to 22Khz, at a MUCH higher than normal level.
I am ASSUMING (yes, I know, I know...) that there may be a direct conversion going on, from 48Khz sampling down to 44.1Khz without filtering. Was something changed in the past few months regarding conversion/filtering in the AMBOS?
This effect is not VERY noticeable, but it IS there, and the 15khz filter of the audio processor doesn't filter it out. Voices have a sort of "grunge" that sounds like a small amount of sand in the speaker. Even when I filter (in Audition) down to 10Khz, the "grunge" is still there.
