I had looked at those but didn't see a way to use off the air.  Will it work off the air?

I am wishing to automatically monitor both AM & FM from my shop (I have one of the Pira P275 units for FM but was looking for something a little cheaper).  I am wanting to monitor several of my customers for off air situations as well as some local AM's that are stretching out their broadcast day a few hours (or all night).

I have a variety of SDR receivers that will receive the signals that I am interested in but the software just isn't there yet and my script writing skills aren't there either.  The Pira software will do what I need but is FM only.

Kevin,

Have you looked into the REA AMM-SD1? I use these at all my sites.

I am looking for a way to monitor a list of stations with an SDR for signal strength and modulation and either log or email on failures.  Like the Burk Watch Band units did.

Plugins for SDR# will ALMOST do it but not really.  It looks like GQRX under linux will probably do it but I haven't gotten much beyond playing with my RaspberryPi's in linux.  I know that my conversion to linux is coming but I'm not really interested in learning a new vocation yet.
