windoz defender seems to have caught up with other a/v's in disliking amb-xfer (the ambos UI). updated windows and defender on two win10 boxes and they both quarantined it. (this was the latest 1.31.9 installed with 1.31.10 installer)

win10 defender is a strange beast. where's the quarantine list? in 'Scan history'. even if it reports zero threats found. makes perfect microsoft sense. then it lists the quarantined threats.... by virus. to get more details you have to click the little arrow which brings up the real 'see details' button. user-friendly=0. but there the restore button worked for me.

you might have to add it to exclusions - on the Virus and thread protection settings page - to keep it from quarantining it again.

sorry for the bother. i've been fighting with anti-virus pgms for weeks, trying to make it more acceptable. but of course they are getting more paranoid all the time. just the fact that it downloads files from an 'unknown source' ie the amb-os receiver, makes it suspect. that that of course is its whole purpose in life. sigh.
