You could do that. We had some existing two-pair in the vicinity and elected to use the pairs for power and signal, and grounded the shield.

We ordered 1/8" NPT because that matched our plumbing. The nice thing is you can order other port sizes, or even order versions with connectors, or longer pigtails.

Ah! This looks promising! Reasonably priced, too. :) Thanks!

"628-08-GH-P1-E4-S7"
"Industrial pressure transmitter"
"1.0% FS, 30 psig, general purpose, 1/4" male NPT"
" .5-4.5 VDC output.  $89.50"

I didn't see clear pics of the connections... looks like pigtail leads. I would "assume" that 2-wire + shield audio cable could be used to connect this to equipment? (Power, Gnd, Output)

I've installed a few and they seem to work fine. I think they are $109. Use the configurator tool to order the GH housing 0-5V output, 0-15PSIG, 1/8" NPT, and you end up with something you can thread into a brass tee and nipples to put the sensor right at the Heliax pressure port along with the air line.
