And here it is. 46 minutes from the automated reply to answer. It’s not the level of detail I’d like to see, but it is a response.

Hi Jon,

We do not have a procedure changing the the switches out on any of the Qor consoles. All the switches and encoders on the QOR based consoles are solder to the front panel board. So to service them you need to remove the front metal work, which will expose the front panel board. After this you'll need to remove the front panel from the console chassis. Then desolder the switch from the front panel board and solder a replacement switch in place. There is plastic key pin to make sure the switch is oriented properly. After the new switch is in place you can reassemble the console and put it into service.

We typically changes these switches out at the factory when there is an issue. This is partially because we offer a 5 year warranty, and others prefer not try and tackle the fine soldering work. That said we are happy to supply parts, and the numbers can be found below.

Red on switches: 1211-00040-100

Yellow off switches: 1211-00039-100

Best regards,

Jake

Willie,

I just sent the question of replacing switches on an iQ control surface to Telos support. Let’s see how long it takes to get an answer. (Stopwatch started …  :-)

No reps, yet. This is "pure research". :)

A procedure sheet WOULD be VERY helpful! :)

Can your sales rep not answer this question in detail?  I'll CC John Bissett with Telos to see if he could get you that answer in case you don't have a rep at this point.

John,

Is there a procedure sheet for replacing a pot on/off switch on the IQ series?  This has been an ongoing discussion on the CRTech forum for a few days and nobody has a good answer other than it's unlikely you'll ever need to!  I can forward any replies on to the forum!

Blessings,

Alex
