The Axia line has a 4 or 5 year warranty. We sent some of the 4 year old IQ surfaces at one of my client's facilities in for refurbishing recently. They came back with new switches and OLEDs. 

If you are going to have 1 IQ, you should have 2 so that you can hot swap the whole surface. They run off of the studio core which is the IP/audio interface box. 

Because much of AoIP is a "works/doesn't work" scenario, the client I am currently help with a 5 studio Axia/Wide Orbit move/build has 1 spare everything on the shelf. 

Stay with analog if you want component level repairs. You won't find much of that in AoIP. 

Back to soldering microphone cables. One of the very few analog devices in the building.
