Or two flats and only one spare… Happened to me leaving a TX site a few months back. Two sidewall punctures from a sharp rock sticking out the side of a rut. 5 hours from home in a small town, after the tire shops were closed. Had to order them next day….well it was a fun impromptu vacation. Having relocated the local radio station owners c-band dish for free he let me crash at his house and borrow an old station vehicle. Spent a day in the hotsprings…..it was nice…..excepth the whole 4 new tires and being stranded part (AWD, had to replace all 4).
But I digress…point being, nothing is infallible, we just do our best to be prepared for as many possibilities as economically feasible….
