Oh, man... my car radio is MUCH too aggressive with the "blend-to-mono" functionality! :( I'm still WELL WITHIN the City Grade coverage, and I'm hearing it open/close the stereo soundstage repeatedly! I would LOVE a "defeat" button on that!! :(

Of course, I'm keenly sensitive to such things, so I can't help but notice them... "Engineer's Ears". ;)

I wish receivers came with a way to minimize or defeat the blending feature; maybe a small pot behind a lift up panel.  I’d rather the signal remain in full stereo and put up with a bit of chuffing rather than have it blend to mono or worse- having the stereo image constantly opening up and then collapsing.
