whew. yeah. spilled a tiny bit of milk on the keyboard this morning and wiped out the '1' key. found out about it in 'vi' editor where '!' (shifted '1') is part of the 'quit with no changes' command. and couldn't find my spare ergonomic kbds, so i'm trying to type on a 'normal' one. and as my stack of pgms keeps growing, just spent half an hour chasing a problem for a pgm that was, according to a stn, 61sec short. turns out it was ONE sec short. sheeeee. so yeah, things just get crazier and we get caught in the middle of more and more of them. we're definitely on the front lines. stay strong, and at peace... as much as possible...

(Yes, I'm venting) This is going to probably sound pretty normal, but we are heading into our pledge drive next week and yes, at 4pm yesterday, our Voice Track/On-Air Backup computer decided it needed a new CPU fan AND a new power supply. After making those repairs, I also had to re-seat the PCIe sound card in another slot so it would show up, which also meant I had to reassign all my audio paths in Zetta. Somewhere in that process, I clicked the wrong thing and somehow took over control of the on-air computer and took the audio off the air. Not knowing what I did, it took the Zetta people almost 30 mins to figure out how to reset it. This morning I had to call them again because I had no record input to the voice track program. These are not things I have time for!!!!!
