I think that almost all Intel processors since 2010 have been 64-bit capable. So even some pretty old hardware might be good enough for a test. 5-year-old PCs are being recycled all the time.

Are there any 32 bit versions available? It would be nice to be able to tinker with it on these otherwise idle computers.

The Rivendell ISO contains a CentOS operating system and that operating system is 64-bit. So while the Rivendell applications might work on 32-bit (just speculating here), the operating system on the ISO won’t.

It looks like I may not be able to test it, anyway... the machines I was thinking of tinkering with are "only" 32 bit CPU's with 768M of RAM. The minimum system requirements on the Paravel Systems site states 64 bit & 1Gig of RAM. :(

Oddly, the specs on the Rivendell.org site say 32 bits are fine, and only 256M of RAM... but I cannot find any ISO files there... only the ZIP (or TAR) SOURCE files. Not helpful. :(

I should clarify – I haven't tried it with the Rivendell LiveDVD ISO.

I've used Rufus for many Windows ISO's over the years.

Thanks,
