James.  Coming this winter, be sure you take along a small propane torch to thaw those locks.....just a hint of heat!

That would definitely work out here. Some of our sites are actually in cow pastures. The instructions are make sure to close gate to pasture after going through.

Hide keys in fake dog poop or cow pies at each location. Sorry. Couldn't resist!

1. Replace keyed pad locks with combination pad locks. Then you can keep a combination list in your pocket for those locks.

2. At each site that has key locks, install a Master Lock key storage box. They have combination lock for opening up to retrieve the keys for the site. They come in two types. One version has a shackle that goes around the door knob and is popular among real estate brokers.
The other version bolts the small storage box to the wall. I like to pick a place on the wall so that the lag screws go into studs or other wall support members.

If you need to call someone you trust to check on the equipment, you won't need to provide a key in advance, saving you time.

I've recently taken a job as assistant engineer

keys to all of them.  Has anyone found a good
way to keep all the keys separated so they are
easy to transport and it's easy to find the right one for each location?
