The same for pretty much anywhere in Missouri, I’m hearing rumors that hotel rooms are booked in Southern IA and those people will be driving down into Missouri that day to watch, then driving back afterwards. My little county is on the intersection of the highways they will be traveling. I foresee an interesting and busy day that day here.

Just don't do anything that you will need a hotel room.  There are NO hotel rooms available in Hopkinsville, Nashville, Knoxville and surrounding areas unless you want to pay $800/day for an opulent condo.

The last time that I looked, there were a few rooms available in my part of the state 50+ miles SW of the path of totality.
