I recommend pipes as well. I've never moved a transmitter, but I've moved a very large Harris printing press. Depending on how far you've got to go it can be pretty handy to have a couple of guys to move the pipes. Saves your back from the up and down and speeds things up substantially.

What's worked for you in the past? Ramps and rollers, simple-machines style? Pallet jacks? Magnetic levitation?
