Is there any software for control or monitoring of these systems? I assume
you could Bypass studios or reroute studios by having automation on the
"network". Unlike AOIP you don't have every source on the network, but how
often do you need studio 1's mic's and cd players routed to studio 3? One
advantage is not needing special IT infrastructure, and if your IT network
goes down the TDM system is safe. I think it may be near impossible to find
cards or add on to the system, outside of ebay. There are a few
prod/newsroom studios that wouldn't initially be part of this system but
maybe later?

I'm leaning against recommending it but I know a 4 studio wheatnet setup
would cost a bunch more. The initial discussion was to upgrade one studio at
a time though.

Thoughts appreciated.

Thanks.
