Replying to Mark -

The new Audacity has two features I love and one I hate:

Love -

 * The "Add/Remove Plug-ins" feature at the top of the Effects menu is
great. Before you had to dig around for that convoluted "Scan for
new plugins on next launch" tick button, which reset every time. i
think this came on an earlier version, but I just updated mine.
 * The RMS Normalize plugin comes standard. This is very slick. (It
   crashed my older version.)

 * Still no joy for VST3 plugins. Is there any reason for this? I love
using Waves Debreath, which saves me buckets of time when I edit
programs. It runs just fine on my old version Sony Sound Studio 10,
so why not modern Audacity? There are so many fantastic VST2 (some
word, some don't) and VST3 plugins (none I've tested do) I'd love to
   run on Audacity.

These observations are largely plugin-based, but I do a lot of production. :)
