I recapped three of them.   Replaced the two large caps in the power supply and small one on the PSU board.   Many power supply rail decoupling capacitors on every plug-in board.  Also a few audio coupling capacitors.

If there are any orange colored caps, they are probably wide open.   They didn’t last long.

Not all three units of the same model had the same caps inside.   Some had electrolytic coupling caps, others had tantalum.   I didn’t replace any tantalum.    The polarity is marked on the PC boards, makes it easier.

Hi Guys:

Has anyone successfully recapped an Orban 8100A?  What caps did you replace?

I did a Google search for recapping and could not find anything useful.  So in this case, Google was not my friend.

Thanks!
