Thread-topic: NON-TECH [CRTech] Do you show excellent workmanship?

I like a guy who works even while he’s taking breaks.  J

Hey, there’s plenty of born-here-in-the-USA folks who have trouble with the distinction between “home” and “hone” as used thus:

We HOME in on the problem and the target.

We HONE our skills and our sharp tools.

They’re not even homonyms.  Don’t get me started on “to” vs. “too.”

I cringe when I see or hear “hone in.”  It’s a transitive verb; it needs an object.  (Ok, now I’m getting all grammatical and will leave quietly…)

Yeah, there’s an auto shop a block down the street with signage in Spanish and English. The English sign says they work on “breaks.” They might still do excellent work, though!

ok. it's sunday morning and i'm feeling a bit spiritual... i would be inclinded to hire the guy in a heartbeat. because of what the sign says, not how it's spelt. note the last name, Levkiv. i venture to say the sign is not his workmanship and tho he may do ok with spoken english, our alphabet is likely totally different from his native alphabet.

unfortunate, of course, since it reflects not just on him but also on our Boss. all the non-believers are saying 'stupid, ignorant Christians'. excellence is always our goal. in every respect. but here we have met a corageous brother... who needs another brother to make him a new sign.

Thought for the day:

Is the attached image (you may have to download images or view in HTML to see it, but it should be small enough to make it through the listserv) reflecting the quality of workmanship that each of us are called to do?  Is this an example of presenting a good witness?

Does *your* work reflect God's excellent workmanship in creating you?

Attention to detail matters.

1Co 10:31
Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Col 3:23
Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men

Pro 22:29
Do you see a man skilled in his work?
He will stand before kings;
He will not stand before obscure men.
