I've seen C-band rain fades of 5db on our 3m dish.

Normal EbNo is 12-13, during heavy rain it's dipped to low 8's.

C-band uplinks are not affected by weather like the Ku-band. Rain can affect the C-band by only a few tenths of a dB. Unlike the Ku-band where 20 dB fades are not uncommon.

Curious where the ambos uplink is located in North Carolina. Our EbNo just dipped to yellow and alarmed me. I suspect it's weather at the uplink.
