We just set up one of our studios and air chain with Axia Fusion this year and plan to finish the other studios as money becomes available, some with the simpler consoles. Once we worked out the bugs, it's been great and very flexible. As WMBI said, the learning curve was a bit steep at first but they would never want to go back.

I strongly considered Wheatstone until NAB a year ago when they tried to demo it and couldn't make it work. There are things I like about both but because we were more compatible already with LiveWire, especially our automation, I chose Axia. There are more than 80 manufacturers that produce LiveWire compatible equipment. I'm not absolutely sure, but I got the impression that Axia is more flexible and comprehensive.

I think you would be happy with either but for us, LiveWire became the final deciding factor (no more sound cards! , simple wiring, keep our phone hybrid...).

I'm doing our 8 studio rebuilds here (at my day job at Cumulus) with Axia nodes for audio distribution and routing and analog consoles; Audioarts Air 5's and Air 1's. So we retain some of that audio routing flexibility of Axia but at lower cost.

I'm in love with Axia and the flexibility and support. It's a growing ecosystem that has really good support.

We use WheatNet. It's been fantastic.

I'm opposite of you, Bill. I prefer the Wheatstone look. But from a tech perspective, I also love Navigator, Glass E and all the other nuts and bolts.

I like the look of Axia, but some swear by Wheatstone aoip.  Any thoughts? I need  a simple 2 board setup with less than 8 sources at a time.
