Not more than $ 1,000 without an exciter. If with an exciter,
then more. And make sure you have the buyers sign a "Where is, as
is" receipt for it, meaning any implied warranty runs out when
they drive off the lot.
The price on used tube tx's is dropping like a rock. When a
4cx15000 goes for 3 or 4 thousand dollars, well, that solid state
looks more cost effective everyday. I gave a 816 away, without
the exciter, to a fellow ministry. It is a great transmitter, but
they know there is maybe a decade left on it.

Anyone have any idea of the value of a
fully functional TTC 2kw transmitter?
We have one, and there’s a potential
buyer. However, I cannot find any good estimate on what it
really should be worth. It was/is our backup transmitter and
was working when taken out of service several years ago. It’s
been kept ready to run if we needed it in the clean
environment of our tower building. Not thrilled about getting
rid of the backup TX redundancy, but we haven’t needed
family radio service
