We had some issues with configuration changes on ASI cards used in our streaming encoders. I don't remember the exact details, but we went into the ASI control software, set up the configuration we wanted, then saved it as the default configuration. Then, when the software or computer was restarted, the desired configuration was set up. Sorry I can't be more specific, it's been a couple of years since I had to mess with it.

I had an issue when we would close our automatuon and open adobe audition. Had to train the operators to turn the asi mixer back up.

I contacted someone, dont rmember if it was asi or automarion or maybe even this list but anyway ypu can apparently create a batch file that will set the mixer settings.

Ill see if i can dig up the info.

What automation system?  The only time I have had similar problems was in a couple of Simian systems that chronically lost their ASI settings while another pair of identical systems never lost theirs.  ASI acknowledged the problem and thought that it was an issue where the automation system was in the process of doing a fade or other card function and was improperly shut down or crashed.  I have had this happen occasionally at a few others and never at others...

A default ASI setup can be saved to make life easier but I (nor Simian, nor ASI) found a cure back then.  Making sure that the night guy didn't just turn off the computer w/o doing a normal shutdown helped a lot.

I haven’t been able to find a solution to this problem online so far, and I hope somebody here might be able to help. We use AudioScience 6540 cards in our systems and recently they have been losing their configuration for some reason so that the output levels are muted (actually set to -100). I then have to go into the ASI software and restore the configuration to get output back. Anybody else seeing anything like this? This happens with Windows 7 and Windows 10 machines. I’m going to try updating the drivers, but I wonder what’s going on.
