That is a source of frustration for our Program manager, here... we have a significant number of vignettes that we carry, as well as long-form programming. To my knowledge, ALL of the long-form programs (that aren't on AMBOS or Moody) are able to be retrieved by FTP automatically, and we have two different systems in place. It's nice to have have backups! :)

There are a handful of program providers that require logging into "strange" WEBsites, navigating through menus, etc, to get to their files. Then they have to be selected and downloaded. None of our automatic systems can process that.

We are thankful that a MAJORITY of program providers DO use 44.1 as a standard... but there are always those "outliers" that just have to do things differently. ;)

I agree, and these new box/dropbox tools are very time consuming, just when I finally got all my programs streamlined on FTP with an auto download (huge time saver).  I have one on box that I have to go manually retrieve.
