Just chipping in my 5c worth... this looks interesting, but consider how cheaply it must be made, to sell for only $24!

I've had the "interesting experience" of repairing some EXTREMELY CHEAP Chinese-made devices over the years. One that stands out in my memory, looked like EVERY solder connection was made by a child with a very under-powered iron. (Cold/crusty solder, very sloppily done.) Some of those poor connections worked loose.

While reworking the thing, I discovered to my dismay, that the copper cladding (if you could even CALL it that!) on the PC board was barely COPPER FOIL!! Even my temp-controlled soldering iron (set to only 650 degrees) EASILY and READILY caused that copper foil to disintegrate! (No wonder the thing was full of "cold solder" joints!)

I managed to get the thing working, but needed to run wires to replace some inadvertently destroyed foil paths! I wouldn't be surprised if this switch box used similar construction. Again... $24 for an 8 port speaker switch? If you tried to run it at "rated" power of 100 watts, I wonder how long it would take for the magic smoke to escape... or a "foil" path to act like a fuse and pop!
